Tara Shepherd, Executive Director

Tara Shepherd was named Executive Director in 1999. She is responsible for the day to day management and programmatic operation of the organization. Prior to joining goHunterdon, Tara served as director of a downtown business improvement district in Millburn Township, NJ and as Director of Community Relations for the economic development agency in the City of Elizabeth, NJ. She has extensive experience in community development and nonprofit management. Tara holds a Bachelor of Arts Degree in English and Political Science from Rutgers University.

Diana Davis, Associate Director

Diana Davis joined goHunterdon in 1998. As Associate Director, Diana is responsible for day to day operations of the organization, grants administration, invoicing and reporting as well as overseeing all program staff, goals and outcomes keeping projects on schedule and on budget. She is also a League Certified Instructor through the League of American Bicyclists.

Ryan Fisher, Safety Programs Manager

Ryan joined goHunterdon in 2012. As Safety Programs Coordinator, Ryan oversees the Safe Routes to School Program, to address the pedestrian and bicycle safety needs of students in grades K-8, supports municipal and school efforts to increase walkability and bicycle safety, and provides safety education for motorists. Prior to joining goHunterdon, Ryan served as Assistant Director of the Aftercare Program for the Hunterdon County YMCA. Ryan holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Recreation Administration from Kean University.

Jeff Clayton, Chief Technology Officer

Jeff has been working with goHunterdon since 2009. He is responsible for design and maintenance of the website. He operates the infrastructure behind goHunterdon’s traffic alert service (TAS) ensuring the timely delivery of traffic alerts. He also designed goHunterdon’s cloud infrastructure which ensures business continuity to the organizationJeff maintains the office computer hardware, software and provides technical support to goHunterdon staff.  He designs forms, surveys and APPS as part of goHunterdon’s database management. Jeff has an extensive background in SQL, XHTML, CSS, Java Script, .NET programming as well as Adobe Photoshop. Jeff holds degrees in Business Management and Computer Information Systems and from Brookdale Community College and DeVry University.

Heather Carman, Traffic & Information Outreach Associate

Heather joined goHunterdon in 2017. She is responsible for monitoring road conditions and providing weekday traffic alerts to commuters. Heather also oversees the Information Outreach Partner program, a network of more than 250 locations in Hunterdon County where the public may access printed bus and train schedules, transportation guides, and bicycle information. Heather is a graduate of North Hunterdon Regional High School. Prior to joining goHunterdon, Heather worked for Chubb Insurance.

Marina Bartelli, Healthcare Mobility Coordinator

Marina Bartelli joined the goHunterdon staff in 2021. Marina oversees goHunterdon's Healthcare Access Transportation project which provides transportation for seniors to medical appointments. Prior to joining goHunterdon, Marina worked for the Hunterdon County Educational Services Commission, most recently as the Assistant Coordinator of adult education programs. Marina holds a Baccalaureate in Nursing, Rutgers University College of Nursing.

Jodi Betterman, Sustainable Hunterdon Coordinator

Jodi initially joined goHunterdon in 2020 as Environmental Education Coordinator and returned to the organization in 2023 to serve as Sustainable Hunterdon Coordinator. In this most recent role, Jodi provides assistance to Hunterdon municipalities and schools as they pursue certification under the statewide Sustainable Jersey program and coordinates the Sustainable Hunterdon Hub. She is also leading goHunterdon's public education and outreach efforts to promote electric vehicle (EV) and EV infrastructure adoption.

Prior to joining goHunterdon, Jodi served as the Energy Efficiency Coordinator for Readington Township Public Schools and worked for Sustainable Jersey as a Research & Project Specialist. Jodi holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Chemical Engineering from Tufts University.

Caroline Cullen, Bicycle & Pedestrian Programs Associate

An avid cyclist and outdoor enthusiast, Caroline Cullen joined goHunterdon in 2022. As Bicycle and Pedestrian Programs Associate, Caroline supports goHunterdon’s bicycle and pedestrian education programming, including hands on participation in pedestrian activities (walk to school events, pedestrian safety audits), bicycle skills drills (rodeos), helmet fittings, safety presentations, and community events, as well as Street Smart NJ pedestrian safety campaigns and speed studies.

Gabriela Bonnnavent, Program Associate

Gabriela rejoined the goHunterdon staff as a Program Associate in January 2024. Gabriela supports goHunterdon's community outreach efforts.
