Municipal "Travel Demand Management"
Education Program

Hunterdon County communities can learn how to integrate “travel demand management” strategies into municipal master plans, zoning ordinances and other policy documents. This program teaches municipalities the questions to ask applicants so that the community offers transportation choices, including non motorized transportation, limits emissions and waste, reduces the consumption of non-renewable resources, and minimizes the use of land. Simple questions asked during the site plan review process can make a difference! For information on how HART can assist your community, FREE of CHARGE, click here. Complete Streets

A Complete Street is one that accommodates ALL users of the transportation network, including pedestrians, bicyclists, and public transit riders of all ages, and all abilities. A Complete Streets approach helps to create an infrastructure that allows individuals to have safer access to travel by foot, bicycle or to access transit. HART can provide education and information, facilitation, and advocacy on bringing Complete Streets to your community.
