NJ Smart Workplaces

The New Jersey Smart Workplaces Program (NJSW) lauds employers who demonstrate leadership by providing quality commuter benefits to their employees.

Employers are recognized at one of four levels of achievement: bronze, silver, gold, or platinum based upon the level of activity at the worksite. Commuter benefits may include providing employees with information on carpooling and vanpooling, preferred parking for carpool/vanpools, facilities for bicycle commuters, and telework or flextime work schedules.

NJSW is a voluntary partnership of participating employers, the New Jersey Department of Transportation (NJDOT), NJ TRANSIT, and the state's Transportation Management Associations, including HART, to reduce traffic congestion, increase travel choices, reduce employee commuting stress and improve air quality.
